my CA m15a4 tactical carbine flashhider?

i bought a sport line Classic army m4 and it came with a black metal flash hider. but i cant unscrew the plastic one. there is no hex screw or thing on the bottom of it and i tried pliers. anti-clockwise threading and i dipped the front end into a coffee cup of hot water and soaked it in acetone but wont seem to come off

There IS a set screw. Trust me on this one. It is filled in and hidden by paint. look closely until you find the indentation and scrape out the paint with the tip of a knife, then use a hex tool to remove it. For that matter, if you're gonna discard the old flashider, scratching around on it to find the screw won't make any difference anyway.

My buddy didn't find the hex screw until he'd forcably unscrewed the flashider - set screw and all - messing up his barrel threads in the process. He had to buy a whole new outer barrel.
