ASUS Eee pc 1000HE - How powerful?
I was just wondering if the newest model of the eee pc (1000HE) would run reletively low spec games like call of duty 2 and TF2 on lowest detail at playable fps (20 on average).
Plus would its's 1.66GHz processor be able to run a high usage program like photoshop, with other programs such as google chrome and MSN simultaneously with relitively little lag?
if not could you give me some idea to how powerful it would be? thanks.
the processor (latest Intel Atom N280) is pretty fast but the bottleneck in this netbook is the integrated graphics GMA950 that has no T&L (Transform & Lighting) so this job has to be done by the CPU.
they should have chosen the newer chipset i965GM (instead of the oldish i945GM) that has the integrated graphics X3100 with T&L.
i've never seen a running 1000HE but i suspect that CoD2 and TF2 will lag pretty much.
